Plant This Instead Of Grass!

This amazing plant is native to Southern Ontario and other areas of Canada. It spreads quite quickly and can be enjoyed by humans and nonhumans alike! The "cup plant" feeds insects - for example, butterflies - including monarchs! - bees and many different ones. And in the fall when the seeds form, they feed the birds - including yellow finches!

It's a beautiful plant. It gets its name as it forms a cup at the stem [which is wild looking - square!]. Insects and birds can drink the water "from the cup".
